Yes, it's very important to get your 5 a day. A common misconception is that 1 piece of fruit, for example 1 apple, counts as 1 portion. Actually, it doesn't. You need a couple. Smoothies are a great way to get a good mix of fruits. And remember, variety is the spice of life so be sure to eat a mix of different colored fruit and veg to ensure you get all the vitamins and nutrients you need.
